Sad portraits

Short, tragic comedy, 2021
This is a story about three residents of a provincial town who work in a small supermarket: Pasha and Grigory are security guards, and Anzhelika is a cashier. Pasha lives with Anzhelika, but their relationship is on the verge of falling apart. He is jealous of her and his best friend Grigory, with whom she deliberately works the night shift. Grigory, in turn, assures Pasha that there is nothing going on between him and Anzhelika. He advises Pasha to buy her a beautiful dress as a gift to improve their relationship. With Grigory’s help, Pasha buys a dress for Anzhelika. Grigory asks Pasha to cover his night shift. Anzhelika uses the dress as a tool to seduce Grigory. Pasha finds out about this and lashes out at Anzhelika. Trying to make amends, Pasha turns their night shift into a romantic date. Instead of Anzhelika, another cashier shows up. Pasha goes home and finds out that Anzhelika has left him.
